Planning a wedding, birthday party, family or life event can be overwhelming. From selecting the right vendors to keeping track of all the details, the process can become stressful. That’s why JCC Chicago is excited to welcome the Chicagoland community and local businesses to the first Celebration Showcase at Bernard Weinger JCC in Northbrook.
It’s a party planning expo where top area vendors in event planning, entertainment, photography/videography, catering, and décor can meet new clients and show off their offerings. The event takes place on Sunday, July 24 from 10am-2pm and will be free to the public to attend and meet up to 40 vendors.
“Planning my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah was definitely challenging given the multitude of options out there,” said a JCC Chicago parent. “Of course, referrals matter, but I think parents will find it so helpful to be able to speak to photographers or florists in-person and in some cases even see samples of their work over the course of one to two hours. I think it’s a win-win in terms of making introductions for businesses and clients in the Chicagoland area.”
One business that sees the benefits of expos like this is Northbrook’s Cobalt Photography. Owner Brad Floden told Zookbinders’ Melissa Genson, “The majority of our business is referral driven. We also take part in several event expos over the course of the year. While this is not a major source of new work and most people we meet come to our booth on a referral, it is always beneficial.”
The price for service providers to participate is $150, but JCC Chicago is offering an attractive early bird discount. Vendors who register by Friday, June 24 can secure a space for the reduced price of $100 and the fee for area Chamber Members is $75. Registrants will receive one six-foot table with tablecloth and chairs. Outlets and access to internet are available.
